Here are some of our other Fords.

Our 1965 Cobra Replica during construction.
Assembled by my father and I over 4 years,
it's a Contemporary kit powered
by a 428 CJ. Here's what it looks like all finished.

Our 1968 Mercury Montego convertible.
powered by a Ford 390.
Here's a shot at the drag strip. It ran
a 16.10 @ 89 MPH (totally stock), the
ET suffered because traction was a major
problem.  Heres the car with new whees.

Here are some pictures of the Fairlane.  I'll get some sounds of the 289 up as soon as I can.

This is a 1964 Fairlane 500 sports coupe.  The car spent most of its life in California, and from what i can tell was in Utah for most of the 1990's.  I found the car, or maybe I'll say the car found me through a wanted ad online.  Someone responded to the ad saying "I found another ad that looks like what youre trying to find".  I checked out the ad and through phone calls, emails, and many pictures the car was purchased sight unseen.  It arrived on a car carrier to our home in Pennsylvania in late Feburary 2001.
We were naturally nervous never having seen the car in person before, but we were very pleased to find that the body was very straight and the entire car was very free of rust (something almost unheard of in an unrestored Pennsylvania car).  The previous owner had also rebuilt the 289 shortly before we bought the car, and it turned out to be fun driver.
Our eventual plans are to build a Thunderbolt clone.  We are accumulating parts to put a 500HP 428 together now, and we will install a roll bar as well as a race prepped c6 and 9 inch rear when the time for the engine swap comes.  I'll keep this site up to date with pictures as we go through the project.

This section is currently under construction, but I'm going to post pictures and descriptions of any projects or tune ups that anyone might find useful.  We are planning to paint the car soon and in the future i will post any developments about the 428 engine swap.
